Lawless/Inspired partnership helps brands harness the power of street art culture

How brands can now tap into street art culture through new influencer-led partnerships.

Lawless and Inspired have combined to bring together the UK’s best emerging street-artists and their influencer networks, allowing agencies and brands to tap into visual culture. Artists include Jody Thomas who created the 15m high Greta Thunberg wall mura, which highlighted issues of climate change and was featured on the BBC, across national press and went viral on social media.

The Lawless Inspired partnership aims to harness the power of today’s creative pioneers, to deliver physical/digital projects that excite and inspire. Alex Kopfli, Director at Inspired notes ‘by joining forces, we essentially offer agencies and brands a turn key solution, delivering creativity through artistic talent, brought to life by impactful real-life productions merged with digital creativity. The concepts are then distributed to an authentic and sizable audience online through our network.’

Since Lawless launched during the Covid Pandemic, the niche influencer agency has started working with brands to deliver artist-led creative solutions, adding a stamp of cool and credibility to brand campaigns and executions. Lawless Studio has already built up an impressive roster of artists, with the likes of Jody Thomas, Jack Watts, Nerone, Bond Truluv and Shay Casanova, reaching a significantly growing audience of 760k followers as a combined network, quality audiences loyal to each artist they follow, and trend setters in their own right.
Josh Moore of Lawless Studio calls out Inspired’s ‘exceptional track record in delivering first-class brand experiences for the likes of Wavemaker, Mediacom, M&C Saatchi and Fuse’ is the missing piece to the puzzle of delivering stand out creative solutions.

‘We now have the production capacity and logistical know-how to give brands access to creative pioneers and allow them to create amazing content, to give credibility and authenticity to brands through their output, and also reach huge dedicated followings through their social channels.’

Eco-friendly street art with a big bite!

The Inspired team are available for street art, indoor murals and outdoor commission nationwide, creating stunning artwork pieces from concept to completion in just a few days.

Here at Inspired, we design and create stunning street art and indoor/outdoor murals for brands wanting to tell their story in a more unique way and make a big impact.

Whilst some of the more traditional experiential techniques are on hold, we are working with brands to help create on-the-wall and more eco-friendly solutions to raise their profiles. With lockdown regulations easing and consumers returning to public spaces, real art can complement traditional OOH campaigns or act as stand-alone solutions bringing people closer to the campaign. We can work with you to deliver projects that offer creativity and escapism but sit well with a community used to seeing art displayed in this way with a sense that the piece is being crafted straight for them.

Murals are one of the few advertising formats that consumers are more likely to photograph and share on social media. Through art, consumers not only engage with the brands, but they develop a sense of belonging and ownership as well as creating amplification of the brand message via social media.

Traditional spray paint is not the most environmentally friendly medium, so we use water-based spray paints that are low odour and safe for indoor use. We can also use other techniques including reverse graffiti and even living materials (like moss and plants) to create jaw-dropping displays.

If you have a space to fill and you want to bring some creativity and colour, or if you’d like to discuss an idea with us, feel free to drop us a message at: hello@weareinspired.net.

A safer, greener and better approach to producing and delivering experiential events

Change is something we are good at working in brand experience.

As a brand experience company specialising in working with leading media and advertising agencies. We help them deliver experiential campaigns for the diverse range of clients they work for. So being geared up for change is something we are good at. One week the team could be working at a music festival. The next at a thrilling sporting spectacle. We’ve even inflated a giant cow with a butt plug on the River Thames, for a PR stunt to convey the benefits of eating less meat to the environment! For us, no two days and no campaign are the same. This develops a culture where we are up for a challenge and always prepared for the unexpected. However the last few months were definitely unexpected, as we shut our doors stayed home and hunkered down much like the rest of the country.

But now the lockdown is gradually lifting and we’re excited to re-open the doors. We know we are set to work in potentially a very different world, so it seems a good time for us to make some changes. The new production studio made ready just before lockdown, means we can now respond even more rapidly to client’s requirements. Responsiveness and speed of delivery is going to be even more important in the foreseeable. With the new studio we are now able to develop a brand experience from concept to completion, in weeks or even days. Not only can we be faster, but we are also ready to incorporate new social distancing guidelines into event builds and sampling activation so that safety comes first.

A more sustainable approach to experiential marketing and event production

A new production process allows us to implement a ‘greener’ way of working and by embedding sustainability policies from conception. By sourcing the most environmentally materials possible, putting an emphasis on minimal waste and recycling and re-purposing, we can help our clients deliver brand experience campaigns that minimise their environmental impact.

The merging of the digital and physicals worlds is accelerating even faster. Which is something we can help our clients embrace. Though we also believe human interaction has been hugely missed and people’s desire to come together again will be bigger than before. As will the experiential industry we love.

Brand experience with a power like no other medium to empower brands with emotion is here to stay. We are here to help our clients do it, better, safer and greener. To see some of the brands and agencies we have worked with click here.

A new look Inspired, proud of its Bristol roots

A new look Inspired, proud of its ‘green’ Bristol roots.

Since launching Inspired three years ago, from our home in Bristol, we are proud to have worked with some of the UK’s most prestigious agencies, helping them produce and deliver brand experiences for some of the world’s best-known companies.

We’ve moved to a ‘green’ business park for sustainable businesses and evolved in the ever-changing environment of experiential activation, to offer full in-house production & print capabilities, a logistic and promotional staffing operation that can deliver sampling campaigns of any scale, and event builds where the quality is second to none.

We’ve honed an ethos dedicated to ensuring we help our clients deliver events that are as environmentally friendly as possible, and from conception to completion we are thinking about the materials we use, how they can be recycled and how we can re-purpose what remains post-event.

With a percentage of profit from each campaign going to environmental causes around the world, we don’t just want to talk the ‘green’ talk, but walk the ‘green’ walk…which is the Bristol way!

Inspired help And Rising create cowtastic event to launch Vivera in the UK

Working with creative agency And Rising we helped create a giant inflatable cow to promote Vivera’s ‘Goodness Revolution’ and unleashed it on London’s Southbank. The PR stunts’ mission, to highlight cow emissions as one of the biggest causes of climate change. Along with the cow, to help kick-start the Goodness Revolution we served-up thousands of portions of Vivera’s delicious plant Shawarma kebabs to passers-by.

Willem van Weede, CEO of Vivera B.V. said: “We wanted to do something impactful to help people make their change for a huge impact, because we believe life is better when you eat less meat. Everyone is ready for change and eating less meat means less methane, making the world a happier and less smelly place!”

Rob Ward, And Rising Strategy Partner said: “Working with Alex and the team at We Are Inspired was awesome. They made our creative dream a reality with every single piece of the project exceeding our expectations. We can’t recommend them highly enough.”

This was one of the more creative briefs that we love to work with. Something bold, funny and quirky that really captures the attention of the public!

Why sampling can be a hugely effective strategy for brand building

Digital advertising now dominates marketing. Much debates surrounds its effectiveness, however one thing is for sure… you can’t taste a digital ad!

2019 is set to create some tough market conditions. Marketers are going to look for insurances on their investments. So, expect to see marketing activities that drive product trial. Instead of flashy digital ads the humble sampling campaign may be in resurgence.

PRODUCT TRAIL IS CHEAPER THAN PRODUCT VIEWS – WHICH WOULD YOU CHOOSE?
Currently the average cost per click on Facebook is around a one pound. Inspired regularly run mass sampling campaigns with a cost of interactions as little as 20p per engagement. So, for everyone virtual as a brand can generate five physical interactions where a product is truly experienced.

IF PEOPLE, TRY THEY BUY
35% of people that try a product in the same shopping trip said they would go on to buy it, according to recent research. Though this is of course not to be expecting on high ticket items. As one leading experiential expert stated lately you can’t try out a mattress online. With that in mind if your mission is to get your product noticed, tried and then purchased, sampling could be a highly effective strategy in 2019.

SAMPLING IS A GREAT ENTRY POINT FOR BRAND LOOKING TO TRIAL EXPERIENTIAL
Sampling offers a great entry point for brands looking to try our the power of experiential marketing. They can use the low entry cost of sampling before taking the plunge into investing in more immersive brand experiences.

Inspired specialise in guerrilla and paid for sampling campaigns on a local and national basis. Our team have worked for everyone from from Alpro to Yorkshire Tea, so if your interested in a strategy to get your clients’ brand into people hands contact Alex Kopfli here.

Why choosing the right production partner is key to success

Brand experience is now dominating the communication landscape. Over the last decade with digital media as its companion, it has transformed from bit part promotional player to marketing mainstream. Campaign recently stated that ‘consumer demand for brand experiences shows no signs of abating as brands turn to live campaigns to inspire, engage and provoke’.

The vibrant market is growing and the big agencies are taking note. Media agencies through their sponsorship & partnerships teams have been embracing the experiential medium for a while and traditional advertising agencies are now following in their wake. Both are bringing in expertise and setting up their own brand experience solution teams. Before long all the big players will be offering brand experiences and live solutions as part of their communication services.

OUTLINED BELOW ARE SOME OF THE CHALLENGES AGENCIES FACE WHEN GROWING THEIR BRAND EXPERIENCE OFFERING.

CHALLENGE 1. FIND THE RIGHT BRAND EXPERIENCE PRODUCTION & ACTIVATION PARTNER TO HELP YOU DELIVER.
Delivering brand experiences is a complex process. For the inexperienced the pitfalls can be huge. Producing and activating successful experiential events takes a specific skill-set and requires resources and infrastructure that is impossible for agencies to have in-house.

To deliver a brand experience agencies need to turn to a production and activation partner to deliver projects. They’ll need to find a supplier who has the experience and insight to translate the big creative idea into something that works in a live event environment. Look for a partner who can handle all aspects of delivery, is a safe pair of hands and can help you handle the hard work.

CHALLENGE 2. CRAZY LEAD TIMES AND FAST PROJECT TURNAROUNDS.
Agencies are working with very short lead times, whether that’s in response to a pitch brief or turning around a production. Once a brand experience campaign is signed off, there is often less than 6 weeks before it goes live. This can create tingling nerves and raised stress levels. With demanding clients, cool heads & long hours are often required to get projects across the line.

Leaning on your production and activation partner is going to be key to delivering a successful campaign. Get ready to get close, choose a partner who you enjoy working with, who will go the extra mile and is there to support you every step of the way.

CHALLENGE 3. DELIVERING COMPLEX PROJECTS WITH LIMITED IN-HOUSE RESOURCES.
Macro pressures mean agencies have ever decreasing account management teams, who are stretched across more accounts that ever before. Creating a brand experience campaign is a time-consuming process. The sheer number of associated parties and people that have to be dealt and the amount of work involved can be daunting. Before you know it, your comms team’s swamped and out of their depth.

A good production partner will take away the pain, secure locations, compile and complete health & safety documents, book the promotional staff, handle all the logistics, whilst smoothly delivering all aspects of the production and fully supporting their client agency throughout the pre-live build up. The best production partners are a one-stop shop for everything you need and do whatever it takes to get the job done!

CHALLENGE 4. STAYING ON BUDGET, WHILST DELIVERING KPI’S
Whilst production is in full-swing agencies need to keep one eye or better both eyes on the budget to ensure they are delivering the campaign at a profit. This needs to be achieved whilst meeting or ideally exceeding the agreed campaign KPIs. The answer is to look to for a production partner who can offer a turnkey solution.

Look for a partner that can provide the added inspiration to make the campaign special. That can take the agency’s creative idea and see it through from concept to completion, whilst delivering the project on time and on budget.

Ideally avoid working with middlemen who add layers of cost and result in agencies losing control. Go direct to the production source, work with the team who are actually building/creating the experience from bottom up and who are responsible for delivering the activation on the ground. Always ask the question, where is my stand being built and who’s taking it to site? If there is a pause… then you might want to press the panic button.

CHALLENGE 5. ENSURING PERFECT DELIVERY AND HAPPY CLIENTS.
The experience matters. When it comes to perfect delivery, work with a production team who have done this type of work time and time again. Choose a production partner that can bring the idea to life and have a proven track record of delivering perfect representations of concepts and designs. Then when it comes to the real thing the client will be blown away.

Choose a partner that truly has their resources in-house from technical build to large scale print and who has the infrastructure to deliver events of any scale. This will install you with the confidence you have made the right choice. Visit the factory, meet the team and see the build in progress.

It’s your production partner’s passion for delivering the best that will ensure your success. Choosing the right production and activation partner is the key to first-class delivery and having happy clients, so choose well.
